Lanner Inc. Environment and Health Safety Policy Lanner produces green products. This applies both to the manufacturing of Lanner appliances and the everyday participation of all Lanner employees. Corporate social responsibility is a growing concern amongst forward thinking companies in the 21st century. At Lanner we have adopted a number of measures to do our part, amongst these measures are: Quality Management, Environmental Management, Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems. These measures are in place to assure Lanner follows the ISO 14001 EMS Environmental Management System and OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System. In addition to adopting these management systems, Lanner also follows our own Environment and Safety Policy, as follows:1. Compliance with the regulations: Lanner follows all local and international regulations regarding environmental safety and health.
2. Investment in green products: Lanner is always investing in the future and is constantly evolving in the way we produce products to achieve the most minimal impact on the environment.
3. Hazard prevention: Lanner implements the top safety and health measures.
4. Quality enhancement: Lanner adapted the P-D-C-A mode of operation to continually improve and achieve best practice health and environment safety.
5. Employee participation: Lanner offers continuous on-job training and learning courses to raise employee awareness of the newest safety practices.
This goes hand in hand with effective communication to suppliers and partners to gauge full participation in all our systems. This policy will be reviewed at consistent intervals and modified to meet the most current needs. This documents purpose is to publicize this policy to Lanner employees and the general public.

Environmental policy and adoption of the RoHS directive The "Restriction of the Use of Hazardous Substance in Electrical and Electronic Equipment" directive or "RoHS" entered into force on July 1 2006. The aim of this directive is to restrict the use of Lead (Pb, 800ppm), Mercury (Hg, 800ppm), Cadmium (Cd, 80ppm), Hexavalent Chromium (Cr6+, 800ppm), Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB, 800ppm), and Polybrominated diphenyl Ethers (PBDE, 800ppm) in electrical equipment. The RoHS directive also limits the use of these substances in porduct packaging to a combined total of 100 ppm.

Customers and interested parties are invited to view a copy of our Design For Manufacture (DFM) Guidelines. The DFM guidelines formalize a set of general guidelines to follow when reviewing designs for acceptability of lead free manufacturing at Lanner.
